Where Does the IGNOU December 2026 TEE Stand Today?

IGNOU published a revised tentative date sheet for the December 2026 Term-End Examination on 14 September 2026. The exams run from 25 November 2026 to 13 January 2027 in two sessions, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The examination form portal opened on 10 September 2026.

What Is an IGNOU Guess Paper?

An IGNOU guess paper is an unofficial, course-code-wise revision resource that lists the questions most likely to matter in an Indira Gandhi National Open University Term-End Examination (TEE), usually with model answers. It is built by mapping the current course blocks against questions that have repeated in previous TEE papers, then writing answers in the structure examiners expect: introduction, key points under sub-headings, examples, and a short conclusion. An IGNOU guess paper is not issued by IGNOU, does not reproduce an upcoming question paper, and cannot promise that any question will appear. Its value is focus. A student who has already read the study material once can use a solved guess paper to revise the highest-yield topics and practise answer writing in the last 15 to 30 days before the exam, instead of rereading every block at the same depth.

How Should You Use an IGNOU Guess Paper So It Actually Helps?

Use an IGNOU guess paper as the third source, not the first. Read the official study material first, check the pattern in previous year question papers second, and bring in the solved guess paper for the final 15 to 30 days to practise the questions that keep returning. Students who open a guess paper before reading the blocks usually memorise answers they cannot adapt when the wording changes.

Are IGNOU Guess Papers Available in Hindi Medium?

Yes. Many IGNOU solved guess papers are available in Hindi medium, especially for BAG, BCOMG, BA Honours, MHD (MA Hindi), MPS, MPA, MSO and history courses. Each Hindi title is listed separately with "in Hindi" in the product name and a Hindi medium badge. Order the medium you will actually write the exam in; a Hindi-medium student revising from an English answer set loses time translating in the exam hall.

Which December 2026 IGNOU Papers Are MCQ or OMR Type?

The December 2026 date sheet lists these courses as objective type (MCQ) on OMR sheets: BSHF-101 and FST-01 (BDP, BTS, BCA, BSW); BLI-011, BLII-012, BLII-013 and BLII-014 (CLIS); PCO-1 (CBS, DVAPFV, DDT, DMT, DWM); and BEVAE-181 and BSSS-183 (CBCS bachelor's and honours programmes). BNS-041 and BNS-042 are confirmed as descriptive. For objective papers, practise speed and accuracy on MCQs rather than long answers.

MPH-002 with MPH-003, and MPH-013 with MPH-014, are held together in one three-hour sitting with separate question papers and answer scripts, 1 hour 30 minutes per course.

How Many Marks Do You Need to Pass an IGNOU Course?

In most IGNOU theory courses, the assignment carries 30 per cent and the Term-End Examination carries 70 per cent of the course result, and the two components must be passed separately. The minimum is commonly 35 per cent for bachelor's, diploma and certificate programmes and 40 per cent for master's programmes, but the Programme Guide for your programme is the final authority. What is an IGNOU guess paper?

An IGNOU guess paper is an unofficial, course-code-wise set of important questions for an IGNOU Term-End Examination, usually with model answers. It is built from the current course blocks and questions that repeat in previous TEE papers, and it is meant for the final weeks of revision.

Is an IGNOU guess paper issued by IGNOU?

No. Indira Gandhi National Open University does not publish guess papers. Guess papers are revision resources from independent publishers such as Shri Chakradhar Publication Pvt. Ltd. Use them with the official study material, assignments and previous year papers.

Will questions from a guess paper come in my exam?

Nobody can say in advance. A good guess paper covers topics that have repeated across recent sessions, so some overlap in topics is common, but the wording and selection of questions in any IGNOU paper cannot be known before the exam.

How is a guess paper different from a previous year question paper?

Are guess papers useful for MCQ or OMR papers like BEVAE-181?

Only partly. BEVAE-181, BSSS-183, BSHF-101 and some other courses are objective type in the December 2026 date sheet, so timed MCQ practice from the study material matters more than long model answers.

What is the last date of the IGNOU December 2026 exam form?

The Student Evaluation Division notification dated 10 September 2026 sets 30 September 2026 as the last date without late fee, with a late-fee window from 1 to 15 October 2026 (late fee Rs 1,100). Confirm on the IGNOU website in case of an extension.

Can a guess paper replace my assignments?
